Buffalo Rocks
For a little while, I lived out on the edge of the vast northern plains, along the Rocky Mountain Front and on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. There are huge rocks out there, some of them the size of buffalo. These big conglomerate rocks have been polished to a fine shiny sheen by thousands of years of buffalo rubbing on them. This was in my mind while painting this little piece.
